Human Evolution = The Process by which human beings have developed from now extinct primates (Encyclopedia Britannica)
Humans evolved from their ape ancestors gradually over 4 million years. Physical and genetic evidence traces modern humans to apes because of the evolving traits which human have inhibited. All main classified species of humans, the Australopithecus afarensis, the Homo Habilis, the Homo Erectus, the Homo Neanderthals, and the Homo sapiens all have evidence of similar traits and physical features that evolved. Characteristics such as a constant up rise in growth, and evolution of brain size support the growth. Humans have evolved also because of the adaptations they have to their surrounding environments. Human brain capacity has evolved over time growing intelligence and brain size over each species. Over time Humans have also changed their stance, from walking on all fours to walking on two feet. The earliest human species, because of the ape ancestry, could climb trees due to their curved finger features. Humans hands and feet have evolved, now not allowing for easy gripping or climbing. Also, humans in modern times no longer have such large canine teeth, which is evidence of evolution because of the ape feature of sharp teeth over millions of years. Over this evolution Humans also have less hair around their bodies.
